The Gjirokastra Prosecutor's Office has confiscated assets worth 3 million euros belonging to Dashi Aliko, former Democratic mayor of the Municipality of Lazarat.
According to the property investigation, citizen Dashi Aliko resulted in no legal sources for the creation of these assets. The request for confiscation was filed within the framework of property investigation no. 2 of 2019 and was accepted by the competent court.
The confiscated assets include:
Plot of land with an area of 350 m² in the city of Gjirokastra;
Plot of land with an area of 1500 m² and construction of 23 m² in Lazarat, Gjirokastra;
Plot of land with an area of 450 m² in Grehot, Gjirokastra; Plot of land with an area of 1646 m²
in Grehot
, Gjirokastra; Field with an area of 7000 m² in the village of Arshi Lengo, Gjirokastra;
Apartment with an area of 120 m² and a square area of 600 m² in Lazarat;
Fuel with an area of 148 m² in Kordhocë,
Gjirokastra; Two-storey office building with an area of 69 m² in Kordhocë
; Shop with an area of
94 m² in Kordhocë; Warehouse with an area of 437 m² in Kordhocë;
Warehouse with an area of 98 m² in Kordhocë;
Warehouse with an area of 542 m² in Kordhocë;
Guardhouse with an area of 5 m² in Kordhocë;
Concrete joint with an area of 55 m² in Kordhocë;
Solid materials approach site with an area of 424 m² in Kordhocë;
Land with an area of 2224 m² in Kordhocë;
Land with an area of 1608 m² in Kordhocë.
The Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Gjirokastra announces that it remains engaged in the priority investigation of property proceedings, as well as in the sequestration and confiscation of illegally obtained assets, in accordance with Law No. 10192, dated 03.12.2009 "On the prevention and suppression of organized crime, trafficking and corruption through preventive measures against property".
In addition, the Prosecution emphasizes that it will continue investigations into criminal offenses related to illicit enrichment, taking all necessary legal measures for the sequestration and confiscation of the relevant assets.
