The case published on the show "Stop" presents the story of a citizen from Tirana, identified as RM, who claims to have faced serious injustices from the justice system.
According to her, the incident began about two years ago, when she was raped by her ex-partner. As a result of the violence, she says she also lost the child she was expecting, as she was several months pregnant at the time. Due to her serious physical and psychological condition, RM did not immediately report her ex-partner.
Meanwhile, according to her, her ex-partner filed a complaint with the Tirana Prosecutor's Office accusing her of stalking, in order to preempt a possible investigation against him. The case was reviewed by prosecutor Rovena Zoto.
RM states that she was not made aware of this proceeding for about nine months and only learned about it when she was summoned to court, where the prosecutor sought her sentence.
During the hearings at the Tirana Court, she claims that the situation worsened after prosecutor Zoto felt offended by a mention that RM made of her father's name. According to the citizen, this brought a harsh reaction from the prosecutor, who threatened her with prison and then opened another criminal proceeding against her.
In these circumstances, RM says that he addressed the new justice institutions with complaints, but received no response.
She further claims that she was contacted on Facebook by Olger Eminaj, a member of the High Prosecutorial Council. After exchanging contacts, communication between them continued on WhatsApp.
According to materials provided by the "Media and Justice Association", communications between RM and Olger Eminaj have taken on an intimate and sexual nature. It is alleged that Eminaj has sent him messages and materials with erotic content, even during official hours and from the premises of the institution where he exercises his duties.
The material also published fragments of conversations between them, where language with sexual content is used.
