Kilometer-long queues have formed on the Maliq-Gramsh axis, in the direction from Korça to Tirana. Dozens of vehicles are stuck in traffic, moving at very low speed.
This road is now serving as an alternative axis connecting the southeast with Elbasan and further to Tirana, due to the blockage of the Librazhd-Përrenjas axis.
Traffic was diverted on this road because at noon the ARRSH announced a total ban on vehicles on the Librazhd-Përrenjas axis due to the bridge collapsing in the area known as “Arrat e Gurrës”. Hundreds of drivers and passengers have been stranded for hours on both sides of the Librazhd-Përrenjas segment.
