The Court of First Instance has decided to impose the security measure "compulsory appearance" on two young men, Klevin Thepi, 24 years old, and Doronesto Kulla, 19 years old, who are suspected of being the organizers of the massive fight between teenagers in the city of Shkodra, near the "Shejnaze Juka" high school.
According to the Police, the conflict involved about 15 young people, divided into two groups, mainly aged 17–18. Initially, the clash began with punches, and then escalated with the use of hard objects, while it is suspected that a cold weapon was also used during the incident. As a result, three teenagers suffered minor injuries and were transported to the Shkodra regional hospital, where they received medical assistance and are out of danger to their lives.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the conflict stemmed from a previous clash between students. It is suspected that 19-year-old Doronesto Kulla was involved in the incident to help his brother, a 17-year-old student at the “Shejnaze Juka” school. Video footage obtained by the investigative authorities shows the moment the two groups came together and the physical fight began, which lasted about a minute.
Immediately after the event, the Shkodra Police services, in cooperation with the “Eagle” unit, intervened at the scene, seizing security camera footage and launching investigations. Initially, the two young men were arrested as suspects for organizing the conflict, while criminal proceedings were initiated against five minors (four 17-year-olds and one 16-year-old) while they were at large.
Meanwhile, specialists from the Narcotics Investigation Section referred materials to the Prosecutor's Office for one of the 17-year-olds involved, after a small amount of suspected narcotics, cannabis, was found and seized during a physical search. The police have also identified other persons involved in the conflict and are continuing investigations for the full legal documentation of this event, while the exact causes of the fight still remain unclear and are suspected to be related to weak motives.
