The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction, Korça, completed the investigations and sent to trial the citizen BD, accused of the criminal offense of 'Sexual Harassment' against minors, provided for by Article 108/a/2 of the Criminal Code.
From the investigations into criminal proceedings no. 1449/2024, it emerged that the incident occurred in November 2024, when the parents of two students, identified by the initials IB and AK, reported to the police messages with sexual content sent by the teacher through the WhatsApp application.
The girls stated that the communications were harassing in nature, including inappropriate requests and violation of their dignity.
The prosecution presented numerous pieces of evidence, including the examination of the minors' and the defendant's mobile phones, technical expertise of the conversations, and the girls' statements taken in the presence of psychologists and legal representatives.
Psychological expert reports showed that the event caused a state of severe anxiety and stress in the minors, imposing the need for specialized therapeutic support.
At the conclusion of the investigations, the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction, Korça, emphasizes that the case in question fulfills all the elements of the criminal offense of "Sexual Harassment" against children, a crime that Albanian law provides as an offense of high social danger.
