Police have cracked a case of arms trafficking from Albania to England. After a check in Tirana, a silenced pistol was seized, disassembled and hidden inside a television in a truck.
Three people have been identified, two of whom were arrested in Shkodra, while another is wanted. Investigations are continuing to discover whether other weapons were trafficked and to capture others involved in this criminal group.

A case of firearms trafficking from Albania to England is cracked. 1 firearm, a pistol with a silencer, disassembled and hidden inside a television, is seized.
3 citizens are identified. 2 of them are arrested and another is wanted, who are suspected of acting in a group, with the aim of carrying out the criminal activity of arms trafficking outside Albania.
As a result of information received in operational channels about a case of firearms trafficking, from several citizens from Shkodra, the services of Police Commissariat No. 3, in cooperation with the Shkodra DVP, have organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Method".
In the place called "Bulevardi i ri", in Tirana, the services of the Police Commissariat No. 3 Tirana, have carried out a search of a truck in which it was suspected that some citizens had hidden a firearm to traffic it. From the search inside a television, the Police services found and seized the firearm with a silencer, divided into parts.
Following the operation in cooperation with the Shkodra Local Police Directorate, citizens JS, 26 years old, and SM, 20 years old, were arrested, and citizen RA, 20 years old, all three residents of Shkodra, were declared wanted.
These citizens, in collaboration with each other, attempted to traffic a firearm with a silencer, destined for England, through the truck of a citizen who was unaware of the weapon inside the television.
Investigations continue, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, to fully document the criminal activity of these citizens, who are suspected of trafficking other weapons, as well as to identify and capture others involved.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
