As part of the investigation into the criminal group operating in the National Agency for the Information Society, where two controversial businessmen Ergys Agasi and Ermal Beqiri have been declared wanted, while the director of AKSHIT, Mirlinda Karcanaj, and her deputy Hava Delibashi have been placed under house arrest, SPAK has opened a new investigation and is verifying the role of several senior police officials who have had contacts with what is considered the prime minister's eminence grise.
Trusted sources indicate that Ergys Agas' meetings with police officials and senior officials of various institutions have been discovered and it is being investigated whether they discussed corrupt affairs or influence to make appointments in the administration or for tenders. As part of this investigation, the apartment of police officer Ervina Gjana, who turns out to be involved in the scandal of interference in the TIMS system, was searched.
Gjana, despite this scandal, has continued to remain in office as a police officer. SPAK suspects that the same criminal group that kidnapped various businessmen and officials is behind the theft of TIMS system data. In the case of Geront Mece's kidnapping, the criminal group led by Ergys Agasi and Ermal Beqiri forced him to drop his complaints about tender procedures.
Mece was kidnapped by people wearing police and BKH uniforms. It has not yet been confirmed whether the people who kidnapped him are police officers or kidnappers dressed as police officers. However, SPAK has discovered that the gang of Ergys Agas, considered to be Edi Rama's coordinator with crime bosses, has recruited senior police officials.
