A large flow of vehicles was recorded today from the Morini border crossing to the Kalimash tunnel. To cope with the load, the authorities have taken additional measures, including increasing traffic police patrols and opening additional counters by the concessionaire firm.
These interventions have helped manage traffic, however drivers report long queues, especially at the toll plaza.
The National Road remains the main artery connecting Kosovo to the Albanian coast and, like every summer, faces increased traffic due to the increase in tourist flow.
