A 65-year-old man was raped and then shot to death in Lezha. The body of Gjergj Tusha was found by police on the banks of the Mati River, a few hours after he was reported missing by his daughter.

At around 2:40 p.m., citizen A. Gj. called the Operations Room, informing that she had lost contact with her father, citizen Gj. T., 65 years old, resident of Pllanë, Lezha.
Immediately, the Police services began searching for him.
After several hours of searching, at around 17:30, on the banks of the Mat River, in Pllanë, Lezha, citizen Gj. T. was found without signs of life.
From the preliminary examination, the victim has signs of violence, including a wound to the body, suspected to have been caused by a firearm.
A special investigative group has been established, which is at the scene and, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is working to clarify the circumstances, legal documentation, and the identification and capture of the perpetrator(s).
Meanwhile, the Police and National Security Force services, Shkodra Unit, are searching the area with the aim of apprehending the perpetrator(s).
