The dynamics of the murder of Italian businessman Edoardo Sarchi are revealed. The investigation shows that on the night of the incident, Gazmend Braçe and three friends had taken a car with a body from a shepherd in the area and had gone hunting. In a place called Lluf, Braçe's car was exchanged with Kamber Sulçaj's car, who had set off to go to the cowshed located between the villages of Nivicë - Bolen. He argued with Braçe because of the long days. According to investigators, the verbal argument was strong. Sulçaj followed them from behind and at one point overtook them. The car in which Braçe and his friends were traveling broke down near Salari. Gazmend Braçe called his father Eqeremi and told him that they should go and pick them up because he had left the car on the "Nivicë-Salari" axis.
Eqerem Braçe left in his vehicle, while Italian businessman Sarchi left in his car. As soon as they approached the car that had stopped towards them, they were shot with a gun.
Two bullets pierced the tires, while the Italian was hit by a bullet in the leg. The passengers got out of the vehicles and threw themselves into the canal.
The perpetrator held them hostage for more than 15 minutes, after shooting at them. These details are confirmed by two witnesses who were driving in the area on a motorbike. After he left, Eqerem Braçe notified the police.
After cross-checking evidence, from security camera footage, the police tracked down the suspected perpetrator. During searches in a deep mountainous area between the villages of Nivicë and Bolënë, a vehicle and clothes suspected of being used during the crime were found hidden. Next to them, in the bushes, a bag with suspicious tools was also discovered, including infrared binoculars, thermal binoculars, a gun holder and a flashlight. Meanwhile, in Kamber Sulçaj's apartment in Mesaplik, over 2.5 million lek, a shotgun and two closed safes were found and seized.
