Due to repeated flooding and blocked canals, 140 residents of the Shkozet area have signed a petition, demanding immediate intervention and a 6-month plan for cleaning and maintaining the drainage network.
Residents express concern about the penetration of polluted water into yards and homes, endangering the health and safety of the community, and emphasize that the situation repeats itself every year after rainfall.
The petition is also supported by civil society organizations, which are calling on local institutions to take a more sustainable and planned approach, rather than emergency interventions. Residents expect a concrete response before the next rainfall.
