The Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction upheld the security measure of "prison arrest" for Gjon Shkambi, the uncle of Elvis Shkambi. The latter killed Judge Astrit Kalaja in the courtroom on the afternoon of October 6, who had just announced a decision that affected both Gjon and Elvis Shkambi.
According to the prosecution, Gjon Shkambi incited his nephew to commit the crime. The Shkambi family was involved in lengthy legal proceedings over a property in Shkodra.
