The head of the DP Parliamentary Group was expelled from the plenary session after throwing water at Prime Minister Edi Rama, at a moment of tension between the opposition and the majority.
The plenary session of the Parliament was accompanied by tensions, after the chairman of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, was expelled from the proceedings after an incident with Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The incident occurred while the majority was continuing to vote on the draft laws provided for in the agenda, while opposition MPs had blocked the rostrum and were opposing the process with noise in the hall, including hitting the tables with objects.
In this tense situation, Bardhi stood up from his seat and threw water at Prime Minister Rama, wetting him. After the incident, the Speaker of the Parliament, Niko Peleshi, reacted by announcing the expulsion of the Democratic MP from the session.
Despite the decision of the Assembly leadership, Bardhi continued to remain in the hall, while the majority did not interrupt the process and continued voting on the draft laws one after the other.
The clash between opposition and majority MPs continues in a session characterized by high political tensions and procedural clashes.
