The Israeli military announced today that it has killed another commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, in an attack carried out in Lebanon this week.
The attack resulted in the death of Hisham Abd al-Karim Yassin, who, according to the IDF, served as a “key commander” in Hezbollah’s communications unit and in the Palestinian Quds Force Corps, the IRGC’s foreign wing.
The military says the communications unit is responsible for “maintaining the continuity of communications” within Hezbollah and oversees the “development, maintenance and use of communications systems” used by the terrorist organization.
Yassin was involved in supporting Hezbollah in rebuilding its capabilities and “worked to promote Iran’s consolidation in Lebanon,” the IDF adds.
