Donald Trump declared that Israeli attacks in Lebanon are "isolated clashes" against Hezbollah and are not included in the two-week ceasefire agreement between the US and Iran.
Speaking to PBS NewsHour, Trump said the operations in Lebanon are unrelated to the deal with Tehran.
"Yes, they were not included in the agreement. Because of Hezbollah. They were not part of the agreement. We will deal with that too," he said.
Meanwhile, a White House official quoted by The New York Times stated that the 10-point peace plan released by Iran is not the same plan being discussed with the US.
According to the official, the document released by Tehran differs from the plan that Trump has called “a workable basis for negotiations.” He did not provide details about the differences, but said White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt is expected to clarify the issue during a press conference scheduled for 7 p.m.
