Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that over 14 million Iranians have expressed their willingness to sacrifice their lives in defense of the country, in the event of a ground invasion by the US or Israel.
In a post on the social network X, he emphasized that he himself is willing to give his life for Iran, describing this as a patriotic act.
According to state media, authorities have launched campaigns with messages and public appeals to recruit volunteers, while retired military personnel have also been invited to express their willingness to return to service.
Iran has a population of around 90 million, indicating considerable mobilization in the event of further escalation of the conflict.
