The Israeli military said it had struck another petrochemical facility in Iran on Monday evening, saying it was "one of the few remaining structures" used to produce materials for ballistic missiles.
Iranian media had said the airstrikes hit the Marvdast Petrochemical Complex near Shiraz, hours after the Israeli Air Force bombed Iran's largest petrochemical facility in Asalouye.
Explosions also rocked the Iranian capital on Tuesday morning, according to the Mehr news agency.
An AFP journalist confirmed that a series of explosions were heard from the northern part of the city. Explosions were also recorded in the city of Qom.
