
"From 27 May to 13 August, we have recorded at least 1,760 Palestinians killed while seeking to receive aid. Of these, 994 were killed near Gaza Humanitarian Foundation [GHF] centres and 766 along the routes where aid trucks pass. The majority of these killings were carried out by the Israeli army," the UN agency's office for the Palestinian territories said.
On August 1, this office had reported 1,373 deaths.
The update comes after the Gaza Civil Defense Agency said at least 23 people were killed by Israel on Friday, including 12 people who were waiting for humanitarian aid.
