Billionaire and owner of the X platform (formerly Twitter), Elon Musk, has given a fiery virtual speech during the "Unite the Kingdom" march, organized by controversial figure Tommy Robinson in central London.
In a video message to attendees, Musk accused the left of violence and called it the "murder party," referring to the assassination of American right-wing figure Charlie Kirk this week.
"There's something beautiful about being British," Musk said. "But we're facing a lot of violence from the left. Our friend Kirk was murdered in cold blood and people on the left are openly celebrating it. The left is the party of killing and celebrating it. Think about it - who are we dealing with."
In addition to criticizing the left, Musk also denounced the British government, accusing it of a "rapid erosion" of the country. His comments come at a time of heightened political and social tensions in the United Kingdom.
The march, which attracted hundreds of participants, is part of a wave of nationalist protests aimed at "uniting the country" against, according to organizers, "internal and external threats to British identity."
Musk, a known ally of Donald Trump and outspoken critic of progressive movements, accompanied his speech with a retweet of an artificial intelligence-generated image showing the marching crowd.
His comments have sparked fierce reactions on social media and have been condemned by various public figures, who have accused Musk of inciting political divisions and using extreme rhetoric.
