Nepal's former chief justice Sushila Karki has been chosen as the country's interim leader, a source close to the country's president told Reuters, following violent anti-corruption protests that forced Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to resign this week.
Karki, 73, the only woman to have held the post of Chief Justice of Nepal's Supreme Court, will be sworn in at 8:45 p.m. local time, said Archana Khadka Adhikari, a press officer at the president's office.
