
Fourteen women, who were serving their sentences at the Women's Institution for the Execution of Criminal Decisions (IEVP) in Pojska, Pogradec, left their cells today and regained their freedom, after benefiting from amnesty.
The figure has been confirmed by official sources at the General Directorate of Prisons.
The same sources indicate that two minors have also benefited from the amnesty.
According to the final data reported by the Penitentiary Institutions, based on the Law "On Amnesty", 553 convicted persons have benefited from immediate release, while 863 others have benefited from a reduction in sentence.
