The Special Court extended the investigation deadlines for the Fation brothers, Aleksandër and Bushgjokaj, as well as Petrit Hoxhaj alias Çakri, who are accused of the kidnapping and disappearance of Reni Dobra, by 3 months.
During the court session, SPAK stated that time is needed until October, in order to administer the expert reports, as well as carry out some additional investigative actions that, according to the prosecution, are thought to serve to clarify the case.
Lawyer Erjon Kullolli, who defends Fation Bushgjokaj, opposed SPAK's request, arguing that the prosecution has had the necessary time to complete all investigative actions, but has not yet carried them out.
Brothers Bushgjokaj and Petrit Hoxha are accused of kidnapping, killing and then attempting to throw Dobra's body into Lake Shkopet, with the aim of hiding the tracks. It is suspected that the motive for the crime is related to clashes between them over drug trafficking.
The Bushgjokaj brothers, meanwhile, raped the defendant Petrit Çakri a few weeks ago, while he was being held in a glass cage at the GJKKO, claiming that he had slandered them, implicating them in the murder of Dobra.
