Albion Rexhepi, an Albanian from North Macedonia, is one of the engineers contributing to the Artemis II mission, NASA's next step towards returning humans to the moon. Rexhepi says the company he works for has been working on the project since 2022. He says he feels proud but also talks about the extraordinary responsibilities of this job.
'I feel very proud to be part of a project like Artemis II. My company has been investing in this project since 2022, we are involved. Every NASA project is very valuable to us, but especially Artemis II, where not only many years but also billions of dollars are invested, so I feel very proud to participate in this project. We produce very large computers, which are used in the product development phase for Artemis II. These tests must be very accurate and we invest over the years in our products, so that they are as accurate and as safe as possible, because of course, they are the lives of the astronauts.'
Albion Rexhepi says he studied in Macedonia and has a message that with education, effort, and work, you can get anywhere.
