Authorities have ordered the immediate evacuation of residents in the Municipality of Vlora, Novosela Administrative Unit, as a result of the situation aggravated by the floods and the direct danger to the life and health of citizens.
The decision was taken in implementation of Law No. 45/2019 "On Civil Protection", the National Civil Emergency Plan and local emergency plans, while the process is being coordinated by the National Civil Protection Agency, the District Prefect and the emergency structures in the municipality.
According to the legislation in force, the Mayor is the authority responsible for ordering evacuation in the administrative territory. The authorities call on citizens to follow the instructions on the ground and cooperate with state structures.
Priority in evacuation is given to: children,
the elderly, people with disabilities,
families located in isolated areas.
Transportation for the evacuation is being provided by municipal vehicles, the Fire and Rescue Service (FRS), and the Armed Forces.
