
The work teams have completed the assessment of the damage caused by the fire on August 11, which affected the Skënderbega administrative unit in the Gramsh municipality. According to official data, 68 apartments were burned, of which:
10 homes were completely destroyed and require full reconstruction, 16 homes require partial reconstruction, and 42 other damaged homes were seasonal or uninhabitable.
These statistics also include household appliances and furniture of residents affected by the fire.
The fires have also caused the loss of a significant portion of livestock: 215 small cattle, 9 cattle and 7 equines have died due to the flames and smoke.
Regarding agricultural properties, the fire has destroyed:
44,045 hectares of olive trees, 11,028 hectares of grapes, 1,451 hectares of medicinal plants, 9.5 hectares of fruit and nut trees.
Regarding forest areas, there is still no confirmed data, as most of the affected forest is pine forest and will be verified through satellite images. After the damage assessment is completed, the second phase of this process will include the financial calculation of losses.
