The leader of the Mundësia Party, Agron Shehaj, has reacted to the debate created over his asset declaration, which shows that in September last year he sold a real estate property for 15 million euros. Instead of a technical explanation on the valuation of the property, Shehaj published a photo of his vacation villa in Italy, confirming that it is precisely that property.
"Yes, this is my beach villa in Italy. It is not a revelation from Taos or their media, but it is a statement that I have made myself. I earned my wealth through honest work. I am proud of what I have achieved because my partners have been giants like 'Vodafone' and 'Google'. I have employed thousands of young people, I have paid taxes. No one has forgiven me anything and I have nothing to hide," Shehaj writes.
The reaction comes after the asset declaration shows that he sold a property described as land and a building with a total area of 251 m² for 15 million euros. The declared value has raised questions, while in the same document Shehaj declares the purchase of other properties in Italy with much larger areas and at significantly lower prices. At the end of the reaction, he also attacked his political opponents, saying that, unlike them, he created his wealth through business and honest work.
