The head of the DP Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, has reacted to the statements of the socialist MP, Ulsi Manja, regarding the criminal complaint that the Democratic Party filed this Tuesday with SPAK against Prime Minister Edi Rama.
According to Bardhi, the complaint does not concern singer Kanye West, but rather Prime Minister Rama, whom the opposition claims has abused his office in connection with the allocation of 4.2 million euros from the state budget for the organization of a private concert.
In his reaction on social media, Bardhi ironically mocks Manjë, saying that he is "playing the role of a fool or a servile person," while adding that the socialist MP is distorting the content of the opposition's complaint.
"Ulsi, we didn't take Kanin to SPAK, but Edi. Because Edi has abused his position along with 4.2 million euros of public money, given as pocket money for a private concert," says Bardhi.
Further, the Democratic MP raises two more public questions to Manja, asking him what his connection is with businessman Paulin Rajta and whether he has intervened with Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku to enable the latter to benefit from a hydroelectric power plant in the Dibër district.
Following the reaction, Bardhi claims that interventions to grant licenses in violation of the law constitute a criminal offense and warns Manja that he too may face investigations by the Special Prosecution Office.
Bardhi's reaction comes after the Democratic Party reported Prime Minister Edi Rama to SPAK, claiming that legal violations were committed in the use of public funds intended for Kanye West's concert.
