Activist Ilir Xhemalaj has warned of important political developments in September, as the protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office continues for 44 days.
In a live broadcast for the "Off the Record" show on A2 CNN, Xhemalaj stated that the civic protest will continue in the coming months, while expressing his belief that its pressure will bring about important political changes.
"The protest will continue. I believe the numbers are good. We will continue, in September we expect big changes, I hope even sooner, but I believe that September will bring us big changes," he said.
According to Xhemalaj, the target of the protest is Prime Minister Edi Rama, whom he considers "illegitimate," emphasizing that the protesters' confrontation is with the government and the political system.
Commenting on the debate about negative reviews of businesses on online platforms, the activist distanced himself from this initiative, stating that none of the protest organizers instigated such actions.
"We have nothing to do with this part. We are not attacking anyone. Our fight is with the system and with Prime Minister Rama," Xhemalaj declared.
The protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office has been ongoing for 44 days, while the organizers have announced the continuation of the civic action with the aim of bringing changes to the political scene.
