
Prime Minister Edi Rama was greeted with protests by students and activists during his visit to the "Mother Teresa" University Hospital Center in Tirana.
Rama was at the QSUT for the inauguration of the new Cardiac Surgery service, while a group of protesters gathered on the premises of the hospital center, issuing calls against him, including "Arrest Rama."
During the protest, the Police intervened, and according to preliminary information, an activist and a student were escorted to the police station. Among the escorted persons was reportedly activist Markeljan Vatnikaj.
Meanwhile, students have announced the holding of another protest on October 13 in front of the Ministry of Education.
