From the A2 CNN studio, Democratic MP Tomorr Alizoti appealed to citizens to raise awareness and join the opposition cause to overthrow the Rama government.
According to him, it is absurd to think that change will come from a "magician", as democracy is a process that arises from the combination of the opposition voice with the need and desire of citizens for change.
"No, no, we will not wait, we all have to react. Elections are not held here. Anonymous voters come out here. Whose political speech have you heard that inspired you to say I will vote for this person? Do you know what it means to get 20 thousand votes? There are 20 thousand minds, without having a day in politics. I see it as a mission, I appeal to citizens to unite to overthrow this government. Albania has descended into autocracy. We must mobilize to stop it, because it is an autocracy twinned with the mafia," he said.
Alizoti emphasized that there is no other way than popular mobilization, taking as an example the protests in Serbia, where although the opposition is weak, citizens constantly take to the streets.
"Democracy is something that people should love and protect. Rama has turned into a different kind of Enver Hoxha, not from the 'New Albania' film studio, but from Hollywood," said Alizoti.
