Members of the Democratic Party in the Committee on European Affairs and Foreign Policy have sent a request to the chairman of the committee, Igli Hasani, to call an urgent meeting.
This request comes as a result of recent developments and the escalation of the situation in the Middle East region.
In the document sent to the Albanian Parliament, opposition MPs propose that a hearing session be held with Prime Minister Edi Rama on March 9, 2026.
According to them, the growing tensions in the Middle East make it necessary to have an official briefing and an institutional debate in Parliament on Albania's position and role in this international situation.
