Today, Deputy Director for Western and Central European Affairs, Lyn Debevoise, visited the Special Prosecutor's Office (SPAK), where she expressed the US government's appreciation for the work of the Chief Special Prosecutor, Altin Dumani, in cooperation with US law enforcement agencies.
According to the official message, the focus of this cooperation has been to crack down on illegal networks that threaten US national security, as well as the fight against corruption that prevents American companies and investors from operating fairly and safely in the region.
US authorities believe that Altin Dumani's efforts have set a new standard of strong cooperation between Albania and the United States against international criminal organizations, creating safer conditions for American companies that intend to invest or expand their activities.
The statement also emphasizes that this level of cooperation is expected to continue with the next head of SPAK, in order to protect American strategic interests and guarantee a fair climate for international business.
