Former DP MP Ervin Salianji continued his meetings with the Democrats, and today he stopped in the city of Elbasan, where he was greeted with applause from the packed hall. In his speech to the attendees, where he reiterated that this initiative is to guarantee that the DP does not abandon its members, he chose to be a little harsher with the DP leaders, but without mentioning names. He said: Edi Rama cannot deal with useful idiots who have nothing to do with the people and whose only balance sheets are losses.
"Edi Rama cannot cope with imaginary enemies, nor with repeated promises for years from some who in politics can be known as useful idiots who have nothing to do with the people and whose only balance in their political career is losses," said Salianji.
Putting himself in the role of the victim, he also commented on the recent clashes within the DP leadership, stating that Saturday's meeting turned into a trial session for him, instead of discussing political action to overthrow the government.
"The last meeting of the leadership was a 4-hour trial for me and you and 30 minutes for Edi Rama. We must clearly state in every internal discussion of the DP that it is not the right path it has chosen at important moments," he said.
There was also criticism of Berisha, who he said that instead of demanding the mobilization of the Democrats, he is demanding an account of why he holds meetings with the Democrats.
"While the debate should also be in these moments about mobilizing the Democrats, knocking on every door, like this meeting that serves to gather people to call for the protest on the 22nd, the leader and leadership of the DP, instead of giving an account, demands an account of why the Democrats are meeting," said Salianji.
During the meeting with DP structures in Elbasan, he emphasized again that the losers within the DP should take a step back, as according to him, this is the principle of democracy.
The head of the Youth Forum of the Librazhd branch of the Democratic Party also spoke at the meeting, and was more direct in his request to the leader of the Democratic Party. He said that the time has come for Berisha to make way for the youth, while there was also criticism of the Democratic MPs of Elbasan, who he said are unable to gather people for protests because they are the product of lists.
"How are we going to overthrow that tall tyrant, trusting only the young people. Doctor, we love him very much, he has his votes, but he must open his arms. He must make way for the young men and women so that we can be a correct alternative. We must decide. Dear sisters and brothers, we are going through a difficult moment. For all of us to go out in protest, you have seen how many deputies from this district they turn out, zero. That they are not deputies voted for by you, they are deputies from the districts and lists," he said.
