In today's plenary session in the Assembly, the Socialist Party withdrew from the agenda the draft decision on changes in the composition of the Territorial Reform Commission.
The news was announced from the podium by the leader of the SP parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, who stated that the majority has decided to remove this item from the agenda, without providing further details on the reasons for this move.
"We are removing the changes to the Territorial Reform Commission from the agenda! The work of the Special Territorial Reform Commission will continue," Balla said during the session.
The decision was accompanied by reactions from the opposition. Democratic Party MP Luciano Boçi demanded that the majority not only remove the item from the agenda, but completely withdraw from the proposed changes to the Territorial Reform Commission.
"You should withdraw from the changes to the Territorial Reform Commission, not simply remove it from the agenda! Withdrawal shows will, postponement shows nothing," said Boçi, emphasizing that the opposition considers this process one-sided.
