The Socialist Party won landslide victories in all municipalities where votes were cast on Sunday, in elections with the lowest turnout in history - only 18.45% of voters.
In Vlora, Burnilda Mersini won with 78.4%, while the two opposition candidates, Dionis Sota and Gjergji Nika, divided the remaining votes between them.
In Berat, Ervin Ceca of the SP received 83.3%, leaving far behind his rival supported by the DP, Pavlo Shkarpa, with only 16.6%.
In Cërrik, Florenc Doka won with 66%, in Tepelena Gramos Sako with 77.8%, while in Mat, Altin Bojini holds the advantage with 67.8%, compared to Eduart Brahilika who received 27%.
In the end, the elections that were supposed to measure political forces showed a different reality: Albanians chose not to vote.
