The Democratic Party continues to lack an officially announced candidacy for the Tirana Municipality race, while the names circulating so far are only self-offers.
Recently, Dorian Teliti, vice president of the Municipal Council, declared on the "Off the Record" show on A2 CNN his willingness to face Ogerta Manastirliu, if the DP structures decide to put the race at the center of the agenda.
Teliti stressed that the opposition has many capable figures to contribute, but according to him, anyone who is active in politics should be ready to enter this challenge. "How can you be the vice president of the Council and not be in the race? It's like asking an MP if you will become a minister. There are hundreds of candidacies for Tirana. Races are part of our lives," he said.
In this way, while the majority seems clearer in its direction with Manastirliu's candidacy, the opposition still remains without a confirmed name, leaving room only for self-offerings and personal statements.
