Parliament has approved in principle the 2026 budget and fiscal package, after a marathon session that lasted about 16 hours.
The session began yesterday at 10:00 and ended around 03:00 this morning.
The draft budget for 2026, with a total value of 8.8 billion euros (886 billion lekë), was voted in favor by 83 majority MPs, while 32 opposition MPs voted against.
In the same session, the 8 draft laws that make up the fiscal package for next year were also approved in principle.
