The debate over the Arbri road turned into personal attacks between two deputies from the Dibër district, Denisa Vata of the DP and Agron Malaj of the SP. In response to Vata's statement that the increase in the costs of the Arbri road is slander, Malaj switched to personal attacks, ironically apologizing for the quality of the deputy that the Democrats have brought to parliament. He also went on to say that it did not come from Mati's votes, but from the votes of the closed list.
"To say that there is a change in value on the Arbri road, this is a slander and a lie as this speaker knows how to do, where I must apologize to all colleagues for the quality of the MP you brought to parliament. But that did not come from Mati's votes, but came from the votes of the list that was closed unintentionally. The speaker must understand something: every time there are elections, she loses and loses with results in every deeper election. And I know why, because the Mati people do not have this or that other one that they have from behind together with the Dibra people, nor do they have them on their lists, nor do they have them in any kind of plan of theirs," said Malaj.
On the other hand, Democratic MP Denisa Vata hit back by asking Malaj to go and give an account for January 21 and the way he was catapulted to parliament, since at that time he was one of the guards protecting the prime minister's office. Vata went on to accuse Malaj of awarding tenders to the 5D company, which was run by directors of the Tirana municipality and is currently under investigation by SPAK, while in return his brother received tenders from the Tirana municipality.
"Then, Mr. Malaj, instead of talking here about what votes I came with, he should actually give an account for the events of January 21. It is precisely he who should give an account and you have brought him to parliament today. Also, Agron Malaj should give an account here not about what votes I came with, but about what money his brother used to build the "Labëria" hotel in Dhërmi, in the former children's camp in Dhërmi. And where did he get the money. Meanwhile, Mr. Malaj should give an account of why his brother receives tenders in the Tirana municipality and at the same time, Agron Malaj, when he was mayor, gave tenders to the directors of 5D in the Municipality of Mat, such as the one we have presented for the construction of sewage canals. These are what Mr. Malaj should give an account of, not about who the Democrats vote for and who the Democrats prefer," said Denisa Vata.
