The Minister of Health, Evis Sala, took the floor today in front of 3 MPs who asked her to account for the state of hospitals in the country.
But unlike the opposition's accusations that patients are suffering, going without medicine, and mired in corruption, the head of health said proudly that treatment at the oncology department today is like in Europe, and in some cases even faster than there.
When there are only 30 chairs for patients undergoing chemotherapy to sit, the minister said that 90 people receive treatment per day, without providing explanations as to where they will sit.
Against all expectations, Sala promises us a cancer research institute.
So, we can't provide a service, but we can do science.
"We are building a new model, where the system revolves around the patient. We are creating a national oncology network and an institute for scientific research in oncology," said, among other things, the minister, who does not know the prices of medicines.
Brachytherapy and PET-scan, with luck, will come, said Minister Sala.
