The Secretary General of the Democratic Party, Flamur Noka, stated that the DP will never allow elements of organized crime to have influence within it.
Invited to the show “Off the Record” on A2 CNN, Noka also commented on the situation of Ervin Salianja, saying that he has crossed some red lines. According to Noka, the DP is the only political force that has sanctioned the functioning of factions within the party. “Whoever wants to create a faction, come. It is a European model, we did not invent it, but we implement it. You do not have to be an individual to have a faction, but you have to have a team, a group of people from the center to the base who represent their interests,” said Noka.
He added that the problem arises when the agenda of individuals is driven by others and does not coincide with the party's agenda, turning democracy into anarchy and allowing opponents to control political activity.
