Following the closed-door meeting of the DP National Council, which is taking place without the presence of the media, Sali Berisha announced that the discussions are focused only on the organization of the protest, describing it as only the beginning of a political process. He invited members to freely express suggestions and criticism.
During the discussions, Lisander Hoxha declared that Soros poses a threat to democracy and demanded that there be no persons connected to this organization in the DP structures. Aulon Kalaja expressed himself in the same line, demanding that Soros be declared “non grata” by the next government, that the DP be clearly positioned as a right-wing conservative party, as well as the establishment of an investigative commission on the manner in which the DP’s signatures were obtained for Shabani in the process of electing the People’s Advocate.
