The head of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, has reacted to the decision of the Constitutional Court, which overturned the first act of the new Legislature of the Albanian Parliament.
Through a Facebook post, Bardhi states that the Constitutional Court found "a brutal violation of the rules of parliamentarism", sanctioning the violation of the principle of representative democracy, the freedom of expression of deputies, as well as the violation of the procedures for calling the Assembly meeting and approving acts.
According to him, the situation has deteriorated to the point that the majority, even before the full decision of the Constitutional Court has been officially announced, has warned that it will approve the same act again, without discussion.
He emphasizes that the violation of the principles of balance and institutional dialogue should not pass in silence, demanding a clear response in defense of European standards.
