Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi commented on the presence of Ervin Salianj and Ilir Alimehmet in DP activities, emphasizing that this is a completely normal situation and in line with the party's internal dynamics.
"Yesterday I was also asked what I thought about Salianji and Alimehmeti being on the DP podium. What opinion can I have about a member of the DP Presidency and a member of the National Council participating in their party's activity? It's completely normal," he said.
Këlliçi said that in the DP, unlike the Socialist Party, differing opinions and debate are natural, adding that their presence does not constitute a concern.
"When there is debate or a different opinion in the DP, I don't worry. I would worry if everyone was lined up for one, like soldiers — like in the SP," he said.
Comparing the situation with that of the majority, Këlliçi pointed out that even Socialist MP Erion Braçe often expresses criticism of his colleagues, "but there are no shows about differing opinions in the SP."
Asked whether the recent moves have a cost for the opposition, Këlliçi replied that citizens are interested in concrete issues that affect their lives, not in internal party debates.
"Citizens are concerned about rising prices and taxes. It is more valuable to talk about these problems and what the DP thinks differently. We have spent four years talking about developments in the DP. Should we continue again? This chapter is closed," he declared.
Këlliçi emphasized that the opposition should focus on issues that affect citizens' pockets, considering this as the true priority of public debate.
