Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha did not respond to SPAK's subpoena to provide explanations for the violent events of January 21, when protesters were killed during an opposition demonstration 14 years ago. Berisha claimed yesterday that he did not receive a subpoena.
Meanwhile, the Assembly has informed SPAK that the summons on behalf of MP Berisha has not been withdrawn by the DP group. The Special Prosecution Office is expected to issue another summons to the former Prime Minister. SPAK is investigating several charges such as murder, abuse of office and actions that hinder the disclosure of the truth.
