After the end of the meeting of the National Council of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha declared that he does not move "one inch" from the position held at the noon press conference regarding the tour organized by Ervin Salianji.
In his statement to the media, Berisha emphasized that the DP's position is absolute and unchangeable when it comes to cooperation with gangs, describing this as a "red line" for the party.
"I have expressed everything I have on this issue as the leader of the DP and nothing moves me," Berisha said.
Asked about Ervin Salianj's accusations against Arjan Ndoji, Berisha replied briefly that he fully stands by his previous statements. "Gangs are the red line for the DP," he repeated.
When asked directly whether Salianji should be expelled from the Democratic Party, Berisha simply replied: "See the statute."
He further added that "I did not say that there are no self-exclusions," thus leaving open the possibility that Salijanj's case could end with his expulsion from the ranks of the DP.
