The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has asked the Constitutional Court to reject the request submitted by Edi Rama regarding the suspension of Balluk, as according to him it is contrary to the laws of the country.
"According to him, the Constitutional Court should reject the request submitted by Edi Rama, as it is contrary to the legislation of the Republic of Albania," Berisha said.
In today's statement to the media, Berisha said that the Special Prosecution Office and the Court have not violated the laws in requesting the suspension. According to the DP leader, an arrest warrant should be issued against the Deputy Prime Minister because she is destroying evidence.
"The Special Court and the Prosecution in their assessments have not violated any law with the request they made for suspension from duty. Yes, they have violated the law with both feet by not qualifying the offense of 'structured criminal group' and not issuing arrest warrants for Luli Balluku, who continues to destroy evidence day and night in collaboration with the apparatus of the Council of Ministers, according to anonymous sources. Those who take protection, those who claim that each other's powers are being interfered with, they are the ones who are being laundered (money laundering)", said Berisha.
