The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, in a press conference today, harshly attacked the Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, and the EU Ambassador to Tirana, Silvio Gonzato. The comments about the EU Commissioner were a continuation of the criticism of the representatives of the DP, while Berisha added that Kos has violated international laws and is an unconditional admirer of Edi Rama.
"After Ms. Kos's statement, the DP made a statement that it publicly and widely condemned. Ms. Kos's statement, inspired by Edi Rama's paid propaganda, left-wing political extremism or disinformation, as a statement that seriously violates international law on election evaluation. Before I came here, there was a reaction from the European Commission spokesperson, who expressed the correct position of the EC, incompatible with the position of Ms. Marta Kos, an unconditional admirer of Edi Rama and his exploits and misdeeds," Berisha declared.
The DP leader did not spare the EU ambassador, Suilvio Gonzato, who he said follows Edi Rama's propaganda in the European Parliament, saying that the DP leader is not pro-Western. Berisha also said that Gonzato is being paid by Edi Rama's propaganda.
"Similar to the positions of Ambassador Kos are the positions of Ambassador Gonzato, who is a conduit for Edi Rama's paid propaganda and unrestrained disinformation. Regarding the latter, I have informed you that this gentleman, in order to convey Edi Rama's propaganda, tells the members of the European Parliament that the leader of the DP is not pro-Western, since his agenda is MAGA and not integration. This is a fabrication, a deception and I condemn it," said Berisha.
