This morning, the leader of the Democratic Party of Albania, Sali Berisha, shared on social networks a photo of the former mayor of Durrës, Vangjush Dako, which he said was taken in a detention cell. In the image, Dako appeared lying on a comfortable bed, with a cell phone in his hand, next to another convict who Berisha identified as Ron Shqopa.
In the note accompanying the photo, Berisha ironized the situation presented, comparing the cell more to a hotel room and denouncing the privileged treatment that, according to him, people in power receive in Albanian prisons.
However, a few hours later, the post disappeared from Berisha's profile. This action raises questions about the reason that prompted Berisha to delete Dako's photo.
