Belind Këlliçi, for the first time, has publicly admitted that he was summoned to SPAK to be questioned regarding the expenses of the Podtore and the National Assembly of December 2022. Although, when he left the SPAK premises, he was pale and did not say a word, in the News24 studio the DP MP admitted that he was questioned by prosecutors about this matter.
"Funnily enough, at the beginning of this week, on Monday, I personally went to this institution to ask about the 2021 Re-establishment Assembly, which is transparent, has documents, and is an internal political issue, and this is funny in itself. They call us, they ask us what fuel Berisha used to go to the Lezha Forum, since it was the last Forum, or when he was in Korça, or what money you pay for your mobile phones in the DP. So this is the problem. When in the meantime, the problem itself, and which we have been denouncing and denouncing for years, is government corruption," said Belind Këlliçi.
With this statement, Këlliçi becomes the second official to be questioned on this issue, after Indri Hoxha. With the tag of the organizers of the National Assembly of December 20, it is not known exactly what they declared to the prosecutors about the expenses. What is known for sure is that, despite promises to make the financing for these expenses transparent, this process never took place.
As for the relativization that Këlliçi used today that "we expect SPAK to deal with government corruption", this infantile logic only applies to elementary school students. Because financial abuses are punishable regardless of whether they are committed with thousands or hundreds of thousands of euros. According to Belind Këlliçi's logic, if they had the opportunity, even the leaders of the DP would not lag behind Edi Rama's government officials.
