The Chairperson of the High Prosecutorial Council, Mirela Bogdani, has made public the deadlines for the selection of new leaders of the two most important justice institutions, the National Bureau of Investigation (BKH) and the Special Prosecution Office (SPAK).
During her speech in the Assembly, Bogdani said that the process for the new head of the BKH is expected to be concluded by November 10, as the verification of candidates has taken longer than expected. Meanwhile, for the new head of SPAK, the procedure will be completed in early December.
"We aim for the election of the new SPAK leader to take place before the end of the current mandate, so that the transition can develop naturally," Bogdani stressed, adding that the process will be completed before December 16, when the current leader's mandate ends.
